1. This competition is OPEN TO ALL Universiti Tenaga National (UNITEN) students

2. This is a video competition which comprises two categories; SHORT FILM & DOCUMENTARY.

3. Dateline For Registration: 31 AUGUST 2009

4. Dateline for Submission: 28 SEPTEMBER 2009

5. Registration fee: RM20.00 (per group)

RULES AND REGULATION

RULES FOR SHORT FILM & DOCUMENTARY

1. Open to all registered students of UNITEN, in a group of at least 5 persons and does not exceed 8 persons.
2. The masterpiece submitted must not publish or submitted to any contest before.
3. The submitted form must be sent by the owner of the masterpiece.
4. The organizer has the authority to reject any incomplete form or does not follow the rules.
5. Any objections from any group will not be entertained.
6. The organizer will not return back any masterpiece submitted.
7. Organizer will have an authority to publish the masterpiece for commercial purpose.
8. The duration for a short film is 10-20 minutes after editing including credits. For documentary the duration is also 10-20 minutes after editing including credits.
9. All masterpieces must be original and does not convey any sensitive issue.
10. All equipment while making the film or documentary will not provided,
11. All recordings must be submitted in a form of CD, formatted VCD/DVD.
12. All CD's must have the "Short Film/Documentary: stickers with details of the group members.
13. The dateline for registration is on 31 August 2009.
14. The dateline for submitting the CD is before 28^th of September 2009.
15. All recording must be in Bahasa Melayu or English. For English film, must include subtitles in Malay.
16. RM 20.00 will be charged as a registration fee for each form submitted.

JUDGING CRITERIA

1. Masterpiece that suit the contest rule, good, got moral value and interesting story line and idea, suitable with title/theme will winning the competition.
2. Judge's decisions are final. Any objections will not be entertained.

4. The criteria for Short Film are as follow.

· Original idea, good moral value and nice story line.

· New and fresh idea highlighted.

· The ability and effectiveness of actors and actress in delivering the message.

· The suitable of location of shooting with the title of the film choose.

· Creativity in editing and music being used.

· Timing of the film.

5. The criteria for Documentary are as follow.

· Original idea, good moral value and nice story line.

· New and fresh idea highlighted.

· The ability and effectiveness of actors and actress in delivering the message.

· The suitable of location of shooting with the title of the film choose.

· Creativity in editing and music being used.

· Timing of the film.
