Apply to Graduate Online (Undergraduate Students)

Semester 2, Academic Year 2010/2011

Dear Students:

To apply to graduate, you will need to meet the following requirements:

1. No subjects entered in the study plan for coming semesters; and

2. Obtained the required credit hours set in the Programme.

GRADUATION REQUIREMENTS

You are eligible to graduate once you meet all the following requirements:

1. Obtained the required credit hours set in the Programme;

2. Obtained an overall minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 2.00;

3. For Degree Programmes: obtained a core minimum CGPA of 2.00 (which excludes the CGPA of general subjects only);

4. Settled all outstanding debt with the university;

5. Taken Malaysian University English Test (MUET);

6. Free from any pending disciplinary action; and

7. Applied to graduate.

APPLICATION PROCEDURE

Final Semester students completing studies in the Semester 2, Academic Year, 2010/2011 and intending to graduate can make online application to graduate. Please note the following:

1. All applications must be made through the online system starting from 21 December 2010 until 24 January 2011. Applicants are advised to print a copy of the application for own record.

2. Only students who have applied to graduate prior to the deadline will be considered for graduation by the university Senate.

3. The deadline for the 'Application to Graduate' in the Semester 2 Academic Year, 2010/2011, is on 24 January 2011. Late applications from 25 January 2011 - 28 January 2011 will be fined RM25.00. Late applications must be made at the Academic Counter, Registrar Office (Putrajaya Campus or KSHAS). Applications on 29 January 2011 onwards will not be processed and the student must reapply to graduate in the following semester.

4. Ineligible applicants will need to reapply once all the requirements are met.

5. Please refer to the relevant URL address and follow all steps accordingly as instructed in the system. Update your information such as an email and address immediately.

Problems with our Internet access

From early yesterday, we have had problems with our Internet access. Our equipment has been subjected to abnormal traffic levels which has resulted in extremely slow response times. We are monitoring the situation closely and will do all we can to minimize the impact of the increased traffic levels. At this moment, we can only speculate that this increased traffic may be due to the hacker attacks on sites which have denied service to WikiLeaks. The mechanism that is normally used for such attacks is to infect PCs on the Internet with malicious software that will then attempt to bring down the targeted sites. Some of our PCs on campus may have been infected and is thus generating the increased traffic.

We will take all the necessary action to overcome this problem as soon as possible. We regret the inconvenience caused.
